I have owned mine since May, 2018. I like being able to use the case backpack style. If you are taking a walk in the woods it is very nice. Mostly I think the case is very well made. HOWEVER, it has the problems traditionally associated with the use of a cheap nylon zipper. You have to be very careful when you pull the zipper around corners on the case. From the very start the zipper would separate at the corners if there was even a little pressure on it. As long as you are careful you should be OK. Because of the zipper, I would not trust the case to be thrown in the back of a bus... Bottom line: I like the case and use it often. Just be careful of the zipper.

I recently refurbished an early 70's Ovation Country Artist and needed a new case. I don't travel a lot with the guitar, so the main function of a case for me is to store the guitar, be able to easily move it from room to room, and keep it reasonably safe. This case does that very well. I don't think it would offer the same protection as a hard case, though it is well cushioned and properly contoured inside for the Ovation bowl, and firmer than any other soft cases I've seen. It is surprisingly light weight - a nice surprise. The zippers work well, though one has to take care to make sure the lid strap folds in properly and doesn't get caught in the zipper. Storage pockets are more than adequate for some papers, music, etc, and extra strings, picks, a small tuner. I don't plan on using the back straps, so can't fairly comment on those. This was a bit more costly than a gig bag, but this is much more of a case than a gig bag. Unless you are traveling on a plane, or like to throw your guitar around, this case should offer reasonable protection for any Ovation with a deep or mid depth bowl.

I am so INCREDIBLY IMPRESSED by and HAPPY with this Ovation guitar case! It is well-designed with 2 zippered flat compartments on the front, a small zippered pouch on the backpack strap itself. It feels unexpectedly sturdy. The inside is lined and fits my Ovation quite snuggly which I love. For the price, this is a gem of a find. If you are looking for an Ovation specific travel case (or just a permanent protective case,) this is the one to get. I am replacing the old, beat up generic guitar case with this one. I have to say, I'm not sure how it will do if it's checked in on a flight because of how rough it may be handled so I will most likely not be checking it in. But, I am very happy I bought this case!

This case is an outstanding value. My Celebrity 12 string guitar fits like a glove and the rigid sides and top should do an adequate job of protecting my guitar while traveling. The zipper appears to be heavy duty and suited for long life. The case has multiple outside pockets for folded chord sheets and thin items, even a pouch on the strap. This also has an internal compartment for tuner, capo and strap, etc. I have a number of acoustic guitars with "hard shell" cases and I believe this case will offer nearly as much protection.

Ordered for my ovation D-scale baritone because nothing else I "tried on" would fit the rascal; everything is either too short or doesn't fit the round back. A "bartione case" just doesn't exist on the internet unless you have an Alverez, and the ovation website doesn't give any case suggestions for this particular model. So I decided to cross my fingers and hope for the best.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it does indeed "fit" (phew). I have to insert it in headstock first and then push the body down. It technically cuts 1/4" into the foam, but hey I'll take it. If anything it's extra snug. Doesn't fit like a glove but at least I don't have to force it closed.

As for the case itself, this is an incredibly nice case. It's a soft/hard case with a soft exterior and thick foam interior. The pockets are a plus, and the storage space inside fits all the basics (picks, capo, rolled up strap, shims, etc). I actually like the way the backpack straps feel. Some folks don't, though. Make sure you duck under doors!

Overall, a great case and I'm super satisfied to find a case that actually fits.

PS: the d-scale is 43.25" when measured on a flat surface. The actual guitar is about 44"
