Good, but the Boker is Better
Roy Trapp•August 6, 2018
Marbles Knife is bigger than the Boker,
Boker Magnum 01MB334 Classic Steel Pocket Knife with 2 1/2 in. 440C Stainless Steel Blade, Marbles probably a little tougher, cheaper by 2 bucks. Boker is much nicer, if that is important. Got the Marbles today, had to get the Boker out so I could pry the can opener/screwdriver blade open. couldn't pry it with my fingernail. So I need a tool to open the tool. Probably will loosen up. both good value, cheap price with good quality. Update, oiled the Marbles blade pins, works much better, blades are easy t open now. Both knives are an amazing bargain, when you think of the work to make one. think I will buy another of each for gifts.

The Best Quality GI Pocketknife Reproduction Available!

I've owned several copies of the old GI-issue pocketknives over the years. The Marbles version is by far the best in terms of its machine work and overall quality. I've given these knives away from time to time to ROTC cadets that show exceptional initiative or performance. They must cherish these knives, as many are still carrying them long after their military commitment is over. I just hope that they never realize that they only cost twelve bucks!
A solid functional and very affordable scout knife.

I have an original camillus made one. This one is not an exact copy, but is functionally the same.this one is 3/16 shorter closed.blades are same size but this one is a bit less tapered toward the base. Can opener and awe both have s pronounced bend left than right instead of being slanted to clear each other. Awe is slightly shorter but has same general geometry to function like original. Bail is the same as is thickness. Cap lifter and can opener work fine. All blades are tight with good snap but the main blade moves very slightly when open as if the spring and blade base do not sit completely flushwhen open. Unless you are ocd like me it isn't a problem. It is very sharp cutting paper easily. I cut some notches in maple and it worked well and maintained its edge. I bought the colonial version and returned it because awe was not the same design. Not 5 star because of main blade slight movement as stated but for the price I'm more than happy. It's not a collectable knife but definitely a functional one.
Excellent fit and finish and value, with some upgrades over G.I. version

I have a 1969 Camillus GI issue version & have compared side-by-side. The Marbles version is a very nice copy, with some upgrades: thicker sidewalls/scales, jimping in the nail nicks, and easy opening and closing. Excellent fit and finish and value. At half the current price for today's govt. issue, it's a great deal.
A very nice knife - go ahead and get one (or two...)

I had one of the actual Camillus knives of this design, and I really liked it. I ordered 2 of these very economically priced 'knockoff' version of the knife, and I am equally happy with them. They arrived fairly sharp (sharp enough to barely shave hair off my arm), and after a few seconds on my upright belt sander, with a fine grit and a leather belt, this knife was *extremely* sharp (easily shaving hair off my arm, with almost no effort/pressure on the knife (see bald patch on my wrist in the photo). If I was lost in the woods, or in any emergency situation, I would want to have this knife with me.
I just really can't find anything bad to say about this knife.
