Not as described, not adjustable, off temp too high for my application, and flimsy.

First of all, this item is described as being adjustable from 85 to 105 degrees, but it is not. It actually turns on at 85 and off at 105, with a tolerance of +/- 5 to 6 degrees on both ends. I used it to control a hot water recirculator pump, and I am finding I would like to lower the "off" temp a few degrees, but I can't, which causes my pump to run longer than ideal and pump more hot water back into the cold water side, wasting energy. As described, this unit would be perfect for my needs but due to the lack of adjustibility it is well less than ideal.
My other issue with it is the mounting system. The spring clip is flimsy and bends easily, and the actual aquastat body rotates relative to the clip making it difficult to install on a 3/4" pipe. Once you do get it on there it tends to not seat properly against the pipe, making for less than perfect thermal conduction and more inaccuracy and probably an even higher effective "off" temperature.

Solved my problem. Hot water faster to Bath opposite side of home from water heater. I turn on shower and sink at same time to get hot water faster for I only have single lever faucets. Before, I was wasting gallons of water. Now it is hot before I can brush my teeth.

This works to keep the recirculation temperature about right with the water heater at 125 degrees. The higher temp unit I had required me to up the water heater to 135 degrees since it wouldn't turn off until the recirculation water was at about 130 degrees. That was too hot.
