Great product

This cargo carrier worked perfectly for my trip from Maryland to Florida. We had heavy rain during our trip and their was no leakage. The only negative is the straps included did not seem secure enough. So I usef additional straps to make sure it was secured properly.
So far so good..

So far so good.... Have only used it once and it was only partially filled, but sure makes a lot of room for the dogs in the back of the SUV if all of our stuff goes in the rooftop carrier... Haven't been in a driving rain going down the interstate yet, but hopefully will keep things high & dry !!
Very good for the money...

Old saying: "you get what you pay for ". This is an economy rooftop luggage bag that only costs 70 bucks.
I've traveled with this for 1500 miles so far, mostly freeway, and in a little rain. There have been no problems with it. The tie down straps could be better.
This is a pretty large bag and MUST be FULL. If it is not full, any looseness will flap in the wind and (duh) will obviously tear. I put this on an anti-slip mat and used 2 extra 1 inch straps. It was packed full and I put blankets and pillows in any voids.
If you do not have a lot of luggage, I would suggest getting a smaller bag.
Worked great for across country trip

We purchased this for a trip from PA to CA and back a few years later. We used it on top of our car each trip. It made it through rain on both trips and snow one way - no problems. Nothing got wet on the inside. We had it packed to the max with clothes, towels and other items - everything was dry. We only used the straps it came with and they worked great. The only issue we had was starting out we did not realize the zippers need to be fastened together. We started on the turnpike only to have someone beeping and pointing to our top. We pulled over and saw the zippers had pulled apart from each other and some of our stuff was falling out. Quick fix - we just put a keychain through each zipper to keep it closed - you're probably supposed to use a lock to secure it and keep people out if you have to stop. This was not a design flaw, the zippers stayed attached to the bag - just pulled open from each other I guess due to all the wind. It folded up nice in between trips, no tears. We look forward to using it again on the next road trip.
Good carrier

I like the carrier and it did the job I bought it for. Everything stays dry. Straps are not a good design for the vehicle I drive (Chrysler T&C), but using 2 hold down straps of my own from corner to corner provided perfect solution. Very heavy material and kept everything dry. I think I will make some sandbags to hold the front edge down on the roof of the car. The "bag" tends to raise up in the wind and cost me 4 MPG from Minnesota to Florida.
I am glad I bought it
