He promptly responded with some additional documentation and advice on how best to clean the sensor

I've been using Photographic Solutions products with success for several years. I use them 1-2 times per year as needed to clean the sensors of my DSLR cameras. Until recently the cleaning has been just for dust. I recently had something happen to one of my sensors however that went beyond dust. I somehow got some unknown materials on my sensor that appeared to be "stuck" on the NIkon D500 sensor. I contacted the help desk for input and talked to company founder David Stone. I explained my situation and he asked me to send him photos. He promptly responded with some additional documentation and advice on how best to clean the sensor. I followed his recommendations with great success! I'm very happy with these products and the phone support received. I can highly recommend their products!
Does the job, but you might have to get creative with the application.

These work really well after nothing else would. I had a stubborn spot on my Sony A7rii sensor that would not go away. I did have diverge from the instructions through, It says one swipe for each side. I had to use the corner and carefully scrub the problem areas. While I cannot recommend that someone else does this, it did work for me. I then used another swab the proper way and my sensor looks brand new.
This Works!

I used these swabs on my Sony A7. The dust is gone. I love these swabs. Perfect job at less time than it would have taken me to get the camera into the shop and at a fraction of the cost. I must admit I was a little hesitant about doing this myself - but it went like a breeze. Just be sure to do it in a dust free environment. I hung a small temporary enclosure out of plastic paint drop "cloth" over my work bench area where I could open the camera and do the work.
Works well --- follow instructions

Even with a stubborn streak on my D800E sensor (of course, that was there due to my own fault), these swabs managed to do a really good cleaning job along with the Eclipse Cleaning Solution. A note to all cautious users: in my initial attempts I was not wiping "firmly" enough as instructed, and this left a lot of the unfortunate material still stuck on the sensor's glass layer. This "firmly" instruction was more necessary than I initially thought, though I remained cautious, as well as using an adequate amount of solvent, in order to get things really clean. And yes, never re-use a swab. Saved me a bundle in repair services.
Worked Very Well for Cleaning My Canon Sensors

I know that people complained about how expensive these swabs are for what you get, but I want to say, they really worked very well for cleaning my digital sensors. They are a perfect size, they are well packaged, and I can trust that they're not going to damage my sensor when used properly. The convenience and construction of these swabs far outweighs the price, in my opinion. When I'm cleaning a very expensive piece of camera equipment, I want to be confident that the materials I'm using are trustworthy. I think the packaging and precision of the construction of the swabs reinforces that.
