Another greedy company cutting cost
Doctor Dave✓ Verified PurchaseJanuary 3, 2018
Nothing special about this product - the ingredients are basically the same as all competitors. What inspired me to repeat buy this was the inclusion of a screw on eye cup. I've purchased this same product for 3 years, and sadly the last order showed how greedy a company can be. The eye cap is no longer included nor even available, and worse yet the bottle now has a built-in nozzle that can be equated to a garden hose - fluid just pours out. Wash your eye plus get a upper body bath.

It's painfully obvious PhysiciansCare realized people were not re-buying product fast enough, so in an effort to accelerate that process, they removed the eye cup that was a very effective aerator. They also likely saw a significant cost savings by removing the 5 cent eye cup from their manufacturing process.

And the expiration notice on the label about "once opened" is BS. In 3 years at 3 bottles a year, I've never experienced an issue with an already open bottle.

Just greedy.
Makes my eyes feel dry

Though initially the eyewash feels refreshing and leaves my eyes feeling clean and happy, not too long after using this eye wash my eyes feel way more dry than before! Maybe my eyeballs are just weird.

I kept the rest of it anyways for when I have something in my eye that I can't get out.
like I do

This stuff seems identical to B&L Collyrium Fresh Eyes eye wash. If you use the stuff only occasionally, just get the Collyrium as you don't need this large a size. If you use the stuff daily, like I do, this is the way to go. Here is what you do...... First buy the Collyrium. When it runs out, refill with the Physicians Care stuff as using the quart bottle to fill an eye cup is possible, but not very convenient. Oh, and another thing. I don't know what is wrong with the B&L people. You would think they would want you to use as much of their product as possible, BUT....., the plastic eye cup that now comes with Collyrium is like a toy size.....or made for little kids. Throw it out and find a better full size one. Mine is glass. They probably don't make glass eye cups anymore, but at least get a full sized plastic one if you can't find glass or are worried about breaking a glass one.

Mostly purified water so not a lot to say. Good amount for the price. Other ingredients; boric acid, sodium borate, sodium chloride. My only negative is it has a ridge or ledfe around the opening of the bottle which makes it a little difficult to pour into eye cups. All in all, a good value.
When the desert blows into your eyes this stuff cleans them again.

I live in the desert. Like way out in the middle of no where desert. Like I can look in several directions and see nothing but desert for miles desert. This stuff is what I use when the Mad Max like wind storms come and blow the planet into my eye balls.

It instantly cleans them and makes me happy again. Make sure to by the Pro-optics Pro Eye Glass Wash Cup to go with it.
