The default beer glass hold 12-16oz fluids which does not work with the German sized bottles and cans.
these glasses can handle this size with ease. They look gorgeous have a solid feel and don't tip over easily by itself. They are save for the dish washer and stay shiny. cheap glasses get dull after a couple of usages.
Schott Zwiesel Tritan Crystal is a well known German brand for high quality glasses. This one is meant for lager beer because of it's shape. Like wine has different glasses for different grapes beer enthusiasts go for glasses matching the beer style. Don't worry they sell glasses for wheat beer and pilsner as well. But the glass will not mind if you pour other liquids it will still display them beautiful

I love these glasses. I keep them in the freezer for a beer now and then. Always great.

Nice shape, good quality glass, beer

I love these glasses and I keep a few in our freezer. The crystal has a great feel to it. The top of the glass has a relatively light edge that looks nice, but the glasses are weighty and sturdy. They're good for most kind of beer, including hearty winter brews, IPA, and lager. Work great with Guiness pint cans too. They're sturdy enough also to make cocktails in with a bar muddler as well, in a pinch. And, although they're crystal, they're dishwasher safe. What's not to like?

I love these glasses. Drinking beer from them feels like a higher experience. We will keep buying them - partly because we love them, but the other part is that they break :( Easily. That problem is trumped by how good it feels drinking from them and the aesthetics.
