Idea is awesome, concept is neat, but it's kinda clumsy.

I ordered my Sushi Bazooka early this month just itching for the right time to use. For a non avid sushi maker, the time it took me to make eight full rolls was about 35 minutes (give or take). For me, this was much better than my attempts at the hand rolling method. The cons I have for this product are the hinges for this are quick to separate if, you don't finagle a way to close it before that happens while keeping the plunger rod in place; In the instructions it appears that the product is super stuffed with rice which you don't really need that much to make an awesome roll, and that the sushi bazooka I ordered was green... weird. Not sure if it's anywhere in the product description but I'm lazy to go back and read through it.
I do however recommend this for those that are not the best at hand rolling sushi. It worked great for me.

I never found something so easy. Here's my philly recipe
1-2 sheets per roll depending on how much fun your gonna jam in it
Two sticks of imitation crab meat
Rice. If you wanna get nuts keep washing it after you cook it and rinse as much of the white liquid you can. Maybe a cheese cloth bag like I did. Then when your satisfied with the stickiness add some rice wine vinager then squeeze it again in clothe bag so it's still sticky
1 block of philly cream cheese
1 container of the thicker soy sauce. Sorry I forget name but find it in any supply store or Amazon
2 or so avacodo
1 cucumber if u like it
Mix cream cheese and sauce to taste. You will know what I mean when u hit taste( you can also just use cream cheese and sauce as dip. Put paper in roller add your cream cheese mix then crab sticks avacodo and cucumber. Roll away tight as you can. Cut off ends and eat them. Then take razor sharp knife and cut them as thick or on a angle and serve. I like mine at room temp but u can put them in fridge so they set up. Then serve.
So easy so fast and so good. Try different things. We even made a desert sushi by making a rice pudding type stiff rice and filled it with raisins cinnamon and a drizzle of caramel sauce or chocolate
Have fun. Great item
Ps- pack rice in first and push out onto paper if u wanna use it but not nessassery

This sushi bazooka makes me ridiculously happy!!!! I made sushi!!! It turned out PERFECT! I honestly didn't know what to expect but I read about this gadget a few times and during lockdown I haven't felt comfortable going for sushi so I figured what the hell. I bought it to try and made my own! I got some rice and yellowtail and seaweed and added some avo and guess what? PERFECT sushi!!! So good I'm already making more tonight! I think this would make a really fun gift too! The instructions were in French so just be aware of that but it was totally self explanatory and the illustrations help too so no problem. Have a feeling this will be getting a ton of use in my kitchen!!!
coming from china but I can tell you this is absolutely wonderful to use

This was not featured on amazon when I ordered it elsewhere. It was a long wait, coming from china but I can tell you this is absolutely wonderful to use. It was worth the wait for me but it looks like your wait will be much shorter from Amazon and the price is fabulous. I cannot say enough in praise of this and suggest folks buy as gifts as well for those who make sushi. Mine did not come with any recipes, but my website offered many other use for the maker. Perhaps the Amazon product it will come. Plenty of recipes on line too. Here are photos of my sushi and my name is burned on the edge of the cutting board.
but could easily be improved

I was making decent sushi by my second roll, and you can't beat the price. This is a functional product, but could easily be improved. The hinges between the two sides are disconnected hooks, so have to kinda hold them together as you're putting the two halves of the cylinder together at the end. And when you do, the square clips that hold the two sides together aren't attached either, so you have use one hand to find them and snap them on (which can be difficult). It's not brain surgery, but it's harder than it needs to be.
