Great little bell. Nice tone. Not quite as loud as the basic stamped chrome service bell we see on counters all over America.

This is well made ornate style brass bell with a lovely ring. It's tag reads, "Upper Deck" and "Made in India." The detail on this bell also includes a paint on the underneath clapper portion, though the bell does have a smooth perfectly coiffed brass feel on all its exposed surfaces as you can see in the picture. Most brass decorative desk style bells I have seen do not have this (clapper and underneath area is usually uncoated brass underneath,) so it shows the attention to detail and quality that they went to this extra step on this bell. We used it to decorate our friend's main living area in our home. He is only around 4 inches tall, a cavy, and so this bell is quite large to him, and must look like quite the art piece. He enjoys looking at it while having a relaxing meal and 'rang' it for the first time yesterday. When I unwrapped it he also wanted the small plain paper tag which was attached to it with a small white string that says the name of the company and where it was made. He keeps this by one of his beds. It is still quite pristine and he has not chewed it as he does most tags. So I take it he also really likes the bell. I also feel it looks even nicer in person than in the picture.
