This is a review of Sterilite 1.5 bushel laundry baskets. Love it! I have a full-sized top-loading home washing machine in my basement and also a full-size front-loading dryer. This basket filled to the top exactly equals one load. Also, they are very sturdy. The ventilation holes are not too close to the bottom of the basket, so if a sock or something is sticking out one of the holes, it does not drag on the floor. The handles are very comfortable. Before I bought these, I was using some plastic laundry baskets that I got at the grocery store a long time ago. My old baskets were made of a kind of floppy plastic that tore easily and the ridges dug into my fingers when the baskets were full. Also, I had them so long that the plastic had darkened a lot. I felt kind of guilty for replacing them because they still worked, but I have to say, I'm not sorry. Now I have two sets of laundry baskets, using the new ones and keeping the old ones for sorting on heavy laundry days. Someday I will buy another set of these and donate my old set to the thrift store.

Purchased these (case) for my mother and mother-in-law who both recovered from knee surgery and have tough time with stairs. They are sturdy, unlike the dollar store ones that crack and break after a year. They have metal reinforcements.

But even better is the design. In older homes, the stairways from basements are smaller. It's much easier to carry this smaller, more square style without hitting your elbows on doorways & rails. But they still hold just as much. A nice gift for an older person in your life or someone with a disability.

Our old hampers were large and we were getting in to the habit of overfilling them. They were too heavy to carry and the amount of laundry in the large bin was overwhelming. These bins are helping to maintain a better laundry load size, and lighter to carry up and down the stairs. Their small compact size also fits better in our closets and laundry area.

These are great! A full basket is about a full load for me. Light weight yet heavy duty feeling with a nice grip. Awesome deal for a 6 pack delivered to your door :)

I ordered 12 baskets and will likely be ordering 6 more. Jen Hatmaker did a post about her husband organizing their laundry room with a bunch of baskets. These are the PERFECT baskets if, like me, you plan to pull a "Hatmaker" on your laundry station!

I had initially bought these because the were cost effective and I was only planning to use them to organize an incredibly disheveled, unfinished basement laundry area. I thought they would be a nice temporary solution. (We are in the middle of a move and anticipating a remodel.) However, I was pleasantly surprised that not only are these a bit bigger than I imagined, they are very sturdy. I already have some rectangular Sterilite baskets, and I know I like the more substantial handles that these baskets have when compared with other brands. It makes a different when you're hauling heavy baskets all around the home. I think that these baskets are a great value.
