Cuts through water like butter

I have used the California water blade before (but lost it) and this replacement is a nice replacement. There are some differences such as its smaller length, smaller handle, and I believe lighter weight, but it is basically works the same.
For those who haven't owned a water blade before, this is a very good product to use to get the water off your car between washes as to not leave waterspots. I wouldn't go as far as to call this a squeegee to clean your car but it does take off dirt thats in the water thats on your car. On a fully wet car this blade glides very easily, but sometimes may leave streaks if you dont do it right. Then when you try a second pass to get the streaks, the blade can easily grip the dry car and become difficult to get perfectly streak free. To me thats not a big deal as you are mainly trying to just get the big spots.
Pros:
Cheap
Easy to use
Effective
Good quality
Cons:
Shorter than original CWB
Handle smaller than original CWB (makes it a little more difficult to grip)
This is a must for all car owners who give a damn.

Screeching noise on dry surfaces makes it difficult to use in enclosed showers; okay outdoors

This product was recommended by a bathtub and bathroom restoration expert who noticed I had water spots on my shower door (although I use a silicone squeegee). I purchased two of them as a result. Use causes an annoying screeching sound when scrapping on dry spots on Corian or glass which is painful to hear and causes my neighbor's dog to howl. I returned one and I am still hoping I can overcome the sound issues. Therefore, unless I figure how to reduce the sound, I can't use this device. Without a doubt it does efficiently get rid of the water.
6/30/2020 - Noise is tolerable when used to dry my car's windshield. I updated the rating from a 3 to a 4 as a result. When I wrote the original review it was based on using indoors in a shower with Corian walls and Glass shower door. Sound must be reverberating in this environment.

Better than a towel

Bought this to try to cut down on using towels to dry my car. It works pretty good. It takes some getting used to and the right grip is key to using this.
Makes Loud Noise, but gets most of the water off
GuessWho530✓ Verified Purchase•June 1, 2023
It'll make a very loud noise, so be playing some music while you're drying off your car. It also doesn't pick up all the water but most of it, the rest I go over with microfiber towel and blot dry.
Pros:
Gets most Water off
Helps get rid of the water off of the back windshield
Cons:
A bit tough to go over the highly curved areas
Loud screechy noise
Doesn't flex too well, a little stiff
Overall: I wouldn't suggest you normally use it for drying cars, especially ones with soft paint (Lexus is a very soft paint, so be careful) but would be great to have in the car to remove water beads on the back windshields after it has stopped raining or to clear it up for visibility. It will work on drying cars but do note, that most contaminates could glide along the "surface" if you're using a squeegee similar to that as of using towels with not much plushness in them, moving the dirt around.
If you're a detailer, I wouldn't highly suggest this.
If you're just someone who doesn't mind too much about swirl marks, as long as the car looks good from 2ft and further, then go ahead and use this item.
