This is a great puzzle. I gave up and looked online for the solution, which blew my mind after I thought I'd exhausted the possibilities. It's a totally fair puzzle, and fun to do even once you know the solution. No force required. Just smarts, beyond mine, apparently.

This was a gift and I don't think they've even found it on their doorstep yet. However, I have one of my own and people can't seem to put it down when they visit. I went by other reviews as to how well it's built since mine seems pretty much indestructible as it appears this one is. I'm sure the recipient will be pleased since they weren't able to solve it while they were visiting and like others, couldn't put it down.

I am fascinated by this puzzle and enjoy trying to solve it, however after having had it for a few months I still haven't figured it out. I refuse to look online for the solution -- I'm determined that if it can be solved, I'm going to get the reward of solving it myself. This is a beautiful puzzle though and built to last.
