I love this hat. I bought this large hat for my son, who has a big head, and it fit him great. I have a smaller one for myself, too. I have a very small head, so I really love that it is so adjustable. I also like to put my hair up in a clip or ponytail and you can use the adjustment to let it fit around your hair no matter how you choose to tie it up. You can put the back flap up or down depending on where you are. The brim is large and shields you very well. The strap is easy to slide and adjust, so you can keep it on in wind or hang it on your back when you don't need it on. The material washes well after you've sweat in it and gotten it all smelly. I wash mine in the washing machine and hang it to dry. The color selection is nice. It's really a hat that either men or women can wear.

Measured my head and bought a hat based on the measuring chart. The hat just barely fit around my head (leaves deep dent in my forehead).

The hat came shipped with the brim folded in half, but after sitting on a table the fold mostly straightened out.

Other than that, it is a very lightweight hat that offers great protection from the sun. I'd recommend it to others but definitely size up.

This is the greatest hat I have ever owned! I was a "sun-worshipper" all my life (whicih is a LOT of years :-) Sunshine makes me happy :-) A couple of years ago, I got lip cancer from the sun (I never smoked) and had to have 3 months of radiation treatment (normally they cut it out, but since it was my lip, they felt it might make talking difficult, etc.) However, I was told I could never go out in the sun anymore... I have a dog and we walk 3-5 miles a day... I must have purchased 20 different hats... the front would just blow up in the wind, or not cover the face completely, etc. Then a friend recommended this one... the bill is "hard" so it can't blow up, it is VERY comfortable, and no way for it to blow off.. and SPF 50! After I got it, I bought another one so I could have a "choice" of colors, but the taupe color is my favorite.

I was a bit concerned that this hat might be a bit... over the top... boy was I wrong. How have I survived without this hat before? It's brim is like nothing else I have ever come across. I bought this hat for a trip to the 'Bush' in Africa. It was absolutely perfect for that trip and I have barely taken it off since. It's feather light, cool in very hot weather, blocks sun at all angles, and it also blocks reflected light from the ground & even from snow! It's black under lining just stops reflected light in it's tracks. I wear it all winter and it's fantastic. You can wear it with an ear band, or even over a stocking cap (I bought the large) and it fits beautifully. The strap on the back allows for quick comfortable adjustments in a few seconds. It blocks rain (the brim will pucker when wet, but it drys back to normal), falling snow... and of course the sun.

Very well made, internal sweat band... Do yourself a favor and get one.

Nice hat. Great sun blocking. Was a much better hat when it was made here in the USA. If you can find one locally that is made here, I would get that one. This hat is definitely cheaper made than it was. I wish I would have read the other reviews before buying this. This is my 3rd Sunday Afternoons hat and the 1st that wasn't made here and the difference is definitely noticeable.
