Having had several wraps over the years I have encountered some issues. The main reason your wrap may burn in the micro is if it gets at all wet. If there is condensation that dripped on your turntable and you place the wrap on it, it burns. If it gets wet from sweat make sure it dries thoroughly, As far as the filling leaking, I only had that issue once. I tried a safety pin and that worked for a while. I then put a few quick stitches in it and it was good to go. All in all this is one of my best purchases! I have had an herbal wrap for my lower back for many, many years. Unfortunately, the pain has traveled higher up on my back so I needed to address that area of my back. This is just what the doctor ordered! It nestles right in the center between my shoulder blades where the neck one doesn't reach. Yes, I have one of those too. You just heat it up in the microwave and you can wear it like a backpack for quite a while. You need to heat it up intermittently whenever you need. It gives you heat and MOBILITY! Love it!! I have never used it cold

I have Fibromyalgia and cervical/lumbar spine damage. So, I have been using ice/heat packs for a long time. Previously, I had purchased Caldera Deluxe 3-Piece Set, a package with cold/heat packs shaped to wrap around the lower back, the knee, and the head. I also had a pack about 5 x 11 Inches that could be used on the neck. They are limited by size and shape.
Most ice/heat packs are shaped like the previous mentioned. "Nature Creation Herbal Heat/Cold Pads" are shaped different than any others: covering the entire spine, the shoulders and others. I have never found anything that can cover my painful areas the way Nature Creation packs do. The light scent also creates the benefits from aroma therapy.

I had to unfortunately return this heating pad because it was too heavy for my mom to use. Though the quality is unmistakable. I had brought one of these a few years ago in a mall in NJ, the neck/shoulder pad and I still use it & love it!! .. if I had the need for myself, I would definitely buy this product with my eyes closed, thou it did not work for my old mother because of the weight and the straps that she could not fasten herself.
