My late sister always called me "the cricket by the hearth" because I loved being home. I saw this while shopping and knew I had to have it for my new house. Now he sits proudly by the fireplace and reminds me of her every day. He is of high quality very nice to look at. Many thanks.

When this little guy arrived I was very pleased. One of the back legs were loose, but I simply tightened it & gave it a good polish & off it went to my friends "new home." She was so delighted to receive it & immediately place him on the hearth. P.S. you don't need a fireplace/hearth to enjoy this cute guy-he looks adorable any where you put him. If you added a card explaining the meaning of the cricket, I would give you 10 stars! Once you know the meaning of the cricket, people would give him as a gift for so many occasions-not just for a "new home." Thanks, loved him. KB

very nice item. Bought it as a gift for friends who added aa fireplace to their living room. Surprising how younger families don't know the reasoning for the gift and that it symbolizes good luck
