Software bugs in the game with no support from the developer and no desire to collect the info in the bug in order to fix it.
A.C.April 1, 2016
I experienced the same issue as described by several people here that gave the game one star rating: after playing the game for a while it stops saving your progress and starts giving you the same exercises every time you start the game. I experienced the problem twice - the first time I thought that the issue was not a big deal, created a new profile and started the game from scratch (which meant that all the unlocked exercises that I had were locked again and I had to repeat all the levels from the beginning to unlock them). After playing the game with a new profile for a while I encountered the same issue. This time I decided to contact Ubisoft to see if there is a solution to the problem.

And now is the reason I am giving this game a one star rating:

The customer support was horrible. I contacted ubisoft via a chat on their website. The phone support is not available and to get a chat support you need to set up an account on their website.

The first advice the reps gave me was to delete the game and reinstall it. I asked whether this procedure would keep all my saved progress so far and was assured that the deletion of the game and re-installation would not affect the saved user data. I decided not to follow their advice without backing up the data first and created a back up. The following day I contacted ubisoft via a chat again and asked about the re-installation instructions and asked again whether the existing saved data would be affected or not. I was assured the second time that the saved data would not be affected since it is stored in a different location. I followed the rep instructions on deleting the game and restarting it and as I suspected all the saved data was deleted and I had to start the exercise program from scratch. Luckily for me I backed up the data on a USB drive, so I restored it. When I rerun the game it still had the same problem - the game was no longer storing the new results.

I contacted ubisoft again via another chat and after expressing my disappointment about the fact that the previous two agents I spoke with gave me an advice that would have deleted all my progress (which is an issue that deserves a separate review of Ubisoft) I asked what other solution they would offer. The representative's response was that since the "re-installation" of the game did not solve the problem the data on my xbox 360 must had been corrupted and there is no way they could solve it.

To summarize, Ubisoft customer support approach to address bugs in their software consists of two steps:

1. Reinstall the software
2. If the re-installation does not solve the problem, there must be corrupt data and it is not Ubisoft's problem.

They suggested that I bring my Xbox 360 and the game to a local store to see if it can be tested there.

I understand that many games have software bugs and the problems happen once in a while, but I expected that the customers who experience difficulties are at least treated with some level of respect when they contact the support.
Works well with Kinect

Pros:
- arrived quickly
- lots of activities to choose from, including zen and cardio boxing as well as traditional workouts
- works well with the Kinect
- tracks your calories burned
- easy to pause
- many customizable features, including your character

Cons:
- cannot get points through Ubisoft like it seemed I would. Ubisoft supports Your Shape 2013, but not this one
- doesn't always recognize my movements, but only when I'm squatting during zen
- CANNOT use your Xbox controller; all movements are done using your body
Fitness Involved

Have had no problems with program recognizing my moves. At 63 years old, have lost some of my cat-like moves and reflexes, but if I do it right and in the right rhythm, it will count. If I don't, it doesn't count and the program fitness queen voice corrects me in a pleasant but directive tone. Before settling on a regular routine, I dinked around with the different offerings. I finally settled on and found a 14 minute routine I do twice, followed by a five minute cardio routine I do four times for an average of 420-430 calories per workout in just under 50 minutes. It's classic "You get out of it what you put into it". Only thing it doesn't do is throw me a towel and yell "Hit the showers Kimble" when done...
Super fun, but a little frustrating!

So my game arrived Saturday in the mail, after ordering it with regular shipping last Wednesday. The ETA was Tuesday, June 11th - Friday June14th. I was very pleased that it arrived so early. I've had a hard time with getting up and moving, being summer and out of school, and I got this game to get me moving, thinking I would have to force myself out of bed each day. I don't have to! I love this game, it's extremely fun, helpful, and engaging. I love the gym games, it's my favorite part of the entire game so far. You can play with other people as well. I gave the game 5 stars for fun!
The reason I gave it 4 stars (I would have given 4.5 stars if possible) is because the controls can be very frustrating. I haven't figured out how to pause the game, but it has happened several times without me meaning to. Also, if you start a game you didn't want to, there is no way to quit until you finish. But those are the only complaints I have.
I strongly recommend this game to anybody who wants to have fun and get moving!
Good start for a middle aged, overweight male

I am 41 years old and a couch potato. I have been using this for about a month now (3-4 times per week) and am feeling better. The only issue that I have had with it is that sometimes even though i am in sync with the trainer, it doesn't recognize that (most of the time it works fine).

It has gotten me up off of the couch and moving around. I like seeing the progress made, and the exercises are fun to do. They can be a little repetitive, but that's ok. I am enjoying this enough that I will probably buy the 2012 version in a few months.

Overall, this is well worth the money.
