I should admit that I have a good deal of military operation experience in a few theaters ...

I should admit that I have a good deal of military operation experience in a few theaters and training environments. Also, I should say that my knees don't exactly look knobby, but when I'm on a knee they surely certainly feel like it with the amount of pain experienced after pulling security in urban environments for any length of time.
With that in mind, I know a good knee pad when I feel one. They arrived and I strapped in. I started by kneeling like a normal person who actually cares about their joints and went on to some harder drops. Naturally, i was not wearing a combat uniform, nor was I stupid sweaty.
I'll say this though, they grip about as well as those ridiculous issued knee pads, and they're about half as warm. They feel better padded than some of the quick clip knee pads I've deployed with as well. These are solid knee pads.
My only gripe is the lack of quick detach clips.

Very good and comfortable.

If I had bad knees, I feel these would still do a good job of protecting. Over 3 hours of gameplay yesterday, and they barely moved. It's a matter of finding that sweet-spot I suppose, and the material of pant they are being strapped to. I put them through their paces, and they held up very well. I would recommend these for anyone. I'm 6', 225lb for reference.
Comfortable and protective, Glad I bought them.

Easy to put on. Very comfortable. I have not ( I say with some pride) needed them so far in learning to carve with a Trikke, but they're solid, stay where I put them, and when kneeling on them, are very cushioned and protective. I feel quite confident that they'll work well if I land on my knees. HOT, but that's to be expected with heavy padding. They're fitted, so watch the tag for left and right or they'll feel a bit out of place.
One disclaimer here -- since I have not fallen hard while wearing them, I have no way to know whether the velcro holds in a hard tumble. It hasn't come loose with normal movement.

I know I've worn them working in my garden where I have to crawl around over rocks and stumps and I'd call that pretty "normal"

The velcro holds securely around my knees, and they're well padded in the back so they won't rub and chafe during "normal" use. Now I say "normal" because I know these are marketed as tactical knee pads so I don't know what they consider to be "normal" use. I know I've worn them working in my garden where I have to crawl around over rocks and stumps and I'd call that pretty "normal" kind of everyday use for most customers. And they survive that, and keep me protected. So I give them a good review for what I wanted them to do, but I don't have the life experience to speak to them as "tactical" knee pads.
Good for everything from construction to tactical applications

Good for everything from construction to tactical applications. Very happy with these kneepads. They hold up well, and fit great. I'm 6' 3" and 260 lbs and have large legs and they still secure snugly and the strap placement is fine. I have also used these for airsoft and they worked great for moving in and out of cover with no pressure on my knees. I highly recommend these as part of your regular gear or just in case.
