I'm using these in the shower and the kitchen to "capture" water to recycle for our plants and grass during this extreme drought. They were much larger than I expected (I had no idea what 5 gallons would look like). I don't fill the bucket to the top; just high enough that I can carry and then usually pour the water into a smaller bucket that I can water the plants.

Cheap and useful, but my handles cracked because of the weight of my loads. Duct tape fixed that. Its impressive that none of the three buckets I bought have cracked. Definitely using them over the recommended weights.
