this worked ok. the hardener was difficult to get out of the container. I then realized i could have used my gun bedding epoxy to do the same....that mixes easier and is more viscous. Nonetheless axe is good for a while!

This epoxy works very well for installing fiberglass handles on axes and the like. It has an extremely long working time, over an hour. This is good as it lets all the air bubbles rise to the top and escape, but it also means you have to be REALLY sure that you get a very good seal at the bottom with the putty. Even the smallest leak will allow all the epoxy to leak out.
