I don't really like aprons. I need to use them to protect my cloths but I don't really like them. So on a whim I decided I would pretend to be a chef and get a chef's outfit. It started as a funny joke and it turns out I really like the coat. I got it as part of a set with an apron Chef Works Two Pocket Bistro Apron (122A) I wear it all the time. I even feel more accomplished in the kitchen when I'm wearing it. :-) It washes well and the material is sturdy. I tried to use the pocket to keep my instant read thermometer in it but when I bend over to get something out of the lower shelf in the lower cabinet it falls out. First world problems right...

This is a high quality jacket and I like the fabric. I ordered the small but it's huge. I would say probably a medium or large. It's made in Egypt and is a blend 60/40 Polyester /Cotton. There is a front pocket and a small "fork" pocket on the left sleeve.

I bought 2 chef coats using Amazon Prime 2 day shipping because my husband needed the coats quickly to use as spares while waiting for his embroidered coat from his employer & the uniform store we use was closed due to storm damage. These coats wash & wear well. Our stain removal method has been to use "Shout" spray & normal wash cycle with no stains remaing. They are true to size. The only thing I thought was a con was that they're a bit thinner fabric than most chef coats we've purchased but in the heat of the kitchen my husband has seen this as a plus. We didn't notice the sleeve pocket prior to ordering but he was happy it was there.

I went with my normal size despite reviews that they run large, just in case a size smaller wouldn't work out and I'm happy with that choice. I may have gotten away with smaller, but it's not overly large on me, but definitely not constricting either. If you like to keep your sleeves down, I found they're far too loose to work with that way, you'd constantly be dipping them into the food you're preparing. Give them at least one roll, I go to or above the elbows, and everything else about this jacket is perfect. They've held up well so far and have been easy to clean when the apron doesn't catch all the mess. I don't need the front pocket, but it's there if you do. The sleeve pockets hold a thermometer, pen and large marker perfectly without any room really left for more than that, but what more would you really need? The fabric is heavy enough to not feel cheap, but thin enough to keep relatively cool. I was happy enough with the first two I bought as trials that I bought three more to get me through the work week.

i chose this 5 star rating, because there very nice jackets, and i enjoyed wearing them. i like these jackets because, they do fit me right though. i will wear them for work. i recommend these jackets to everyone that works for the food service ^_^. i work at west point as a junior cook, and do more than one job there. so these jackets work great for me. i was thinking of ordering chef pants on amazon lol. they have nice chef stuff for work ^_^.
