Fits my K5SS perfectly!
Love it! My biggest issue using my KitchenAid was having to stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl and under the blade.
This beater works great. I made a batch of cookies and it beat the butter and sugar perfectly..no stopping and with my new 1-piece splatter guard attachment (KN1PS), I can now add ingredients without it going all over the place.
I agree with another reviewer and wouldn't put this in the dishwasher, and I don't think I would try mixing bread dough or tripling recipes, but for creaming butter and sugar it is a dream! When I use butter or cream cheese I make sure it is soft..if I haven't given it enough time to soften on the counter I help it along with the microwave.

I *really* wanted to LOVE this product. I buy 'Made In The U.S.A.' as much as I can - why send our money to China when only a fraction of it comes back? But sadly the quality on this product is 50/50. It *IS* however a good value for the price, and performs its specified function - so I still recommend buying it.

The problem I have with this unit is that the tolerances for the post/driveshaft are too loose. In the provided pictures you can clearly see that the KitchenAid attachment has a hole diameter of 12.89 (12.9)mm. The New Metro blade has a diameter of 13.34mm. This variance of over 0.4mm makes the New Metro blade loose, as you can see in the video. Although I did not perform specific measurements on the locking slot the New Metro blade seemed to have far too much play there, as well. When the mixer is on the force of the motor driving the blade keeps the blade on and it seems sturdy enough, but it does make me a bit nervous to have such loose tolerances in such a strong mechanical device (my KA has the 1hp DC motor). The fact that there is no metal core, but instead the *whole* unit is hard plastic, only adds to my concerns.

That said, the fit of the actual wiper is excellent! In the last picture you can see me shining a light in the bowl - no light escapes past the wiper blade, showing how the blade makes great contact with the side of the mixing bowl. When the unit is attached and turned on the wiping action is readily apparent.

Advice For The Company:
1) Tighten up your tolerances a bit. Yes, I know that means you'll have to get new molds and that's expensive. But as I've measure the actual shaft of the KA at 12.65-12.7 this shouldn't be such a problem.
2) Consider a metal core. I know that means the price will go up a bit, but I'd rather buy a mixing blade that will still be useful in 5 years for a few extra $ than one that is cheaper and going to break in that time period.
3) You wiper blades are excellent, don't change those - even if you think it will help boost profit.

This paddle attachment is perfectly fitted to the 6-QT Professional 600 Kitchen Aid mixer (KP26M1XPM), and really should have been the one sold with the unit. The rubber edges do a fantastic job of cleaning the bowl as it mixes, and you will have practically 0 residue on the sides of the bowl and near-perfect mixing. Well worth the investment, and a significant step up from the standard attachment.

I bought this because the beater that came with my kitchen aid just wasn't cutting it...THIS should be the blade that comes with the mixer! This eliminates the need to turn off the mixer, scrape the bowl, and turn it back on again.

The white part is made of a plastic material. I think for professional bakers this could be an issue, but I only use my mixer once a week or so, so I don't foresee this being a problem. Besides, if this does break down the line, the price is great, I would probably buy the same item again depending on how long the first lasts.

This worked great. I have a Kitchen Aid from Sams Club and the bowl lifts it is not one of the ones with the tilt head. I had looked for one of these before and I was told by Kitchen Aid that at that time they did not make them to fit my mixer. That has been a few years ago then a friend showed me this one. It works great. I am so glad I bought it. I even used it to make a low fat cake with nothing but a can of pumpkin and a box of spice cake mix. That is usually harder to mix up because it does not have any liquid in it. This did the job great.
