As with all Royal Purple Synthetic Products, this is a high quality, top performance grease, I had all the front end parts of my 1994 GMC K-2500 replace with life time warranty Moog premium parts, the original factory parts were worn-out @ 224,000 miles, I immediately noticed a smoother ride and operating ease with this grease, much better than the old "Dino" type, it's a bit more costly, but I'm sure it will last and protect against wear much better, Thanks Amazon for the ability to find and receive such a high quality product in a quick manner, and to Royal Purple for your wonderful products

Excellent grease. It is PURPLE in color. It is very dark so I could see how it could be mistaken as black, but it is in fact purple. I have applied this to ball joints and bearings in the front end of my cars' suspension. I have no way to scientifically test the stuff, but one who has gotten different greases on their hands will know this is truly the good stuff. If you want the best, or if only the best is good enough for your application (like me), this is the grease you're looking for. It is the only grease I will be using on my '95 BMW 525i front suspension components.

Hi-tack, good quality grease, but I wouldn't consider it suitable for extreme arctic climates due to the high viscosity. Great for exposed/partially exposed bearings applications where oil separation and the mess associated with it are not desirable (as in motorcycle steering head bearings, for example).

I have used this Royal Purple grease on ball joints and u joints on a 1997 Mountaineer. I replaced the upper control arms, lower ball joints, tie rods, and u joints. At first, I purchased a grease gun at Walmart that included a tube of grease. The Walmart grease ended up being junk. I was always re-greasing the ball joints with heavy leakage and sometimes the grease seemed to liquify within the tube. I switched over to the Royal Purple grease which seems to stay in the ball joints with little leakage. The Royal Purple is slick, sticky, and holds up well under temperature. Highly recommend Royal Purple.
