I am a single woman and I bought these chains because I noticed another review from the same situation. I read where she mentioned not having to move the car to install these, so I thought I would give them a try. I found these chains to be pretty easy to put on. There is no need to move my car, and I find them much simpler than my last pair. I am so glad I gave these a try!

I'm a skier in Seattle. I start on wet pavement, then have to chain up as we approach the mountains. These are fast and easy to put on, and give my little front wheel drive all the traction it needs to get me to the slopes by the time the lifts open! They stay tight to the tire and run smooth even at 40-50 mph (I know, past their rated speed). I've even installed them in the parking lot in order to get down from a deep powder day. Easy, easy, easy. I love these chains!

Though I have not had to use these in practice, I believe that they will be exactly what I may need when we go to Glacier National the end of this year. I am impressed with the traction ratings for this item as well as the quality that is apparent with the product. The size for my vehicle was easy to match and found them easy to mount on the vehicle even with the low clearance of my cars fender wells. They are also the perfect fit because I used the size finder on Amazon's site.

These work great on my 2-door Honda Civic! My boyfriend and I have taken them up the mountain a few times to go snow shoeing and we have been able to get through areas where bigger SUVs have gotten stuck. They're easy enough to get on, and I like that you don't have to drive onto them or stop to tighten them. Very satisfied.

I purchased these snow cables to replace my previous ladder-shaped snow cables, and it's hard to believe how much superior these new cables are to my old set. The installation process is much easier, and the split design of the cables means you do not need to move the car and readjusting the cables, which is a huge plus. The z-shape of the cross cables also provide much better grip compared to my previous ladder-shaped cables, which would tend to spin out when the tires were between the horizontal segments.

SCC manufactures many different sizes of these cables, so I found that my new cables fit my tires/wheels than my old set, which were designed to fit a much broader range of tires/wheels. On the flip side, I guess it reduces the likelihood of using one set of cables across multiple cars, but don't really see that as an issue. The other possible down side is that since it uses a bungee-style tensioning loop, I'm guessing that is more likely to fail. You really need to price in a spare set of tensioning loops into the price of these cables.

All in all, a great product at a good price.
