I had to add weight on the string to retract it. Once I did that it worked great. Without doing that you have to manually feed the line back in the bottle after each prank........bummer design.

This product works, but the only negative is that you have to unscrew the product and pull the string back to reset it...EVERY TIME! I used this product as an accessory to my Dazed and Confused Halloween costume. I ended up attaching a small washer to the end of the string (on the inside) to give it a little weight. So when I squeezed the bottle, the string would shoot out, but then I would just shake it a little and the weight of the washer would pull it down - resetting the string - on its own. So if you purchase this item, I highly suggest you do something similar to avoid the hassle of resetting the string each and every time.
