Preparing salads takes minutes. Very useful thing!

I have had the product a few weeks now but have not used it. It is a bit intimidating. It is well made but not as easy as expected to operate or use. Storage in my kitchen is a bit of a problem too. Industrial looking except for the plastic squares used to shape how you want to cut your veg. I will write another review once I actually use it.

Ok, but why? This has purposely been made upside down. Why? Does gravity offend you in a way that only inertia can fix? It works well, but stuff falls through. Designing one that works right side up would be preferred. This is somebody trying to reinvent the mousetrap and not understanding how mice are made. I don't think it'll break easily, but the way it's designed is really annoying. You have to turn it over to get the catch bin off, every other chopper I've ever used just has a little pull out drawer. This one seems to operate on the most asinine level. The blades are sharp, it seems sturdy but it is horribly flawed in design.

Update: Seller reached out and sent me a replacement. The issue with the quality of product appears to have been resolved. I think they just had a bad batch! I'm excited to use it now that it's functional.

I received this product as a gift from my mom. She loves hers! Unfortunately, when mine arrived the plate was welded incorrectly so the blades didn't line up. When chopping, sometimes the blade would fall out entirely. Other times, I would get shavings of black plastic from the blades hitting the grid. I contacted the company who sent a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement does the same thing, so I now have 2 broken.

I do not normally write reviews, but after purchasing this 2 years ago for myself, I feel I am qualified to leave an HONEST review. I use this chopper at least once a week or more for a variety of cooking. I bought it to make pico de gallo as we eat this year around, It make making it so much easier and fast! I love that this particular model, it comes with 3 different sized chopping blades. Fine (minced) medium ( the one I use most often) and large (great for French fries, and julienne). The blades are sharp, and have stayed sharp after 2 years of regular use. I use it to make soup, salads, pico de gallo, for canning, and many other dishes. It has become a very valuable tool and my go to for chopping in my kitchen. I live on a remote ranch in Montana, so cook every single day, and this has cut my time in half when using it daily. I have seen some negative comments and do not believe them! This tool is wonderful! If I had to say something negative it would be that the "cup" that catches what you are chopping is kind of chintzy for the price you pay for this stainless steel version, I have had to replace it once. But that is all I can say negative. I like it so much that I purchased 3 more of the stainless steel version to give as Christmas gifts, to friends and family this year (2020). I love mine and do not hesitate to buy it. There is a slight learning curve, but you figure it out pretty quickly and boom you are off and running. Clean up is a breeze too!
