Recommended, keeps my knives very sharp

I've tried lots of different sharpeners, including ones much more expensive than this one. This diamond block really keeps my knifes sharp. I sharpen at a slightly more acute angle than most knives are ground at -- I sharpen at about 18-20 degrees, and the result is serious sharpness. Needs regular touching up, but the 600 grit face is good for that.

By the way, I use F Dick, Henckels, and Shun knives.

I give these to friends for presents. Highly recommended.

This is the second diamond stone I've purchased. I use it several times a day. As a woodworker I am continually sharpening my chisels, knifes, and anything with a flat blade, even my carpenter's scraper. Anyway, after thousands of hours on use I decided to replace the old one but I really didn't have to, I just wanted to get it done faster.
