Like most tools today, it needs to be tuned. But it looks well made.

Like others noted, the cutting disk has about 0.015" lateral looseness. The spacer needs to be adjusted (with a file and/or sandpaper), which should correct this problem. The gauge is otherwise well made. The value/$ ratio seems to be good.

This is a really nice gauge. I was suprised at the quality of this tool. It is solid well made and nicley finished right out of the box no tuning required. It also arrived Before the items from the same order that shipped form amazon. this is the 1st time I have ordered form Rockler but it will not be the last. Good tool I am going to buy a couple more before they raise the price.

I love using this for cutting the wood fibers for any joints I make where I can use this tool.
Pros: Fairly inexpensive, easy to use, holds the depth while cutting, feels sturdy

I like this tool and it makes marking a board quick and easy. The only problem that I see with it is that I think it could have been a little sharper. Other than that it works great!

Just an OK product. The cutter wheel is blunt, it can mark the wood piece but it cannot score a crisp line. Also due to the pan head screw, this tool cannot be used as a depth gauge. Please redesign using a countersunk screw and ensure that the cutting wheel is razor sharp.
