Installed OEM door spears on my PT Cruiser with this. Very sturdy, check placement before use, it stays in place. I cleaned the area with Isopropyl Alcohol before placing. Placed the tape on the spears, then placed on the doors.

I spent a lot of money for this product just to find out it was too thick to let my bumper trim fit flush. Bought a small roll for $5 at a local store that worked great. I Can probably still use on other projects though.

This is another 3M product you do not have to second guess. As with most of 3M products it does just what it is supposed to do.
I had side some molding coming off my 2010 Chevy Silverado. Order the double face molding tape and reinstalled the molding. Had no problems and I am very happy with the way it turned out.
