This jacket is pretty, functional, comfortable and truly waterproof. The length on me (5' 6") is below my hips and that added protection is helpful on windy + rainy days. The jacket is light enough to easily fold into a bag or wrap around your waist when its not needed. It is also surprisingly warm so it makes for a good layering piece. I do wish the hood were a little longer or had a bill type piece to protect my face.

It indeed does have very baggy arms, more prominently so around the upper arms. It's not a good fashion statement. It is however a dependable, truly waterproof jacket for a low price.

It is very waterproof. I work outdoors for long periods of time and have gone through many expensive, high-tech rain jackets eventually soak-through. You know the brands I mean, the one from the north, the ones from south american countries and mountain ranges, etc. (waterproof but breathable is BS and guarantees wet out eventually). This old school tech of what is basically plastic coating is really waterproof, even through hours of tropical storm rains. Keep in mind that keeping water out also means keeping water/sweat in!

i cant believe this is a helly hansen product. the hood is the big problem-- it is way too small for anyone to use. by putting it on, the fabric and threads are stressed to capacity and within a wear or two, the jacket leaks at the neck. after that, the jacket seemed to wear far faster than any other HH jacket ive used.
what is the point of a rain jacket if you cannot use the hood?
conversely, the HH pants have held up nicely with 2 years of almost daily use in the morning.

I'm really happy with this!! I love that it has different wrist snaps so it can also close over more layers. When you put the hood on and the zipper all the way up, my head feels like it's well protected from the elements. I bought this a size up to fit multiple layers for mountain hiking where the temperature and weather can change quickly. Recommended.

This is the best purchase I've done ever since I got a dog! The pup needs his walk no matter what kinda weather it is outside! I first got a defected one but Amazon was very professional regards of the exchanges. It's not the most fashionable rain jacket but it will keep you dry for sure!
I normally wear a size Small but I bought a Medium because I wanted to make sure I could fit a thick sweater under it for the colder days!
