Good for the brain!

This used to be my favorite you as a kid. You pretty much have to build a whole structure but have the holes positioned where the marble can slide down each slope. When I saw it years later, I had to buy it for my kids. They LOVE it now too. I have to help my 3 year old some to understand it but my 7 year old gets more advance and creative with each structure. A very good type of thinking game. I vote yes ðŸ˜
Fun Once You Get it Put Together

I thought it would come with instructions...silly me. Don't try following the pic on the box either, that won't work! Youtube videos are hit or miss...doesn't anyone know how to make a video? If you're giving this as a gift, expect to use lots of imagination putting it together and all the pieces will not be used. Had all the adults working on it and my engineer son (be sure to have other toys to keep the little ones occupied while you're struggling with this one)...finally got a good one together so the little ones could play. Unfortunately, it came apart when I moved it so I spent the better part of an afternoon putting one together and it is still together with the threat of bodily harm ;) to any adult who knocks it over! The children love this thing and will spend hours sending marbles down the runs. We even lose an adult now and again and when they are found, they are playing with this darn thing. Fun for all ages, once you get it put together.
Fun, but a bit flimsy during the building process

I got this as a Christmas gift for my 4-year-old son. The concept is extremely cool, and we've had lots of fun playing with it! This toy is great for teaching troubleshooting, planning, and cause and effect concepts. My only complaint is that it often falls apart during the building process due to instability and balance issues (part of the learning process though). It's really best to try to plan a sturdy foundation and build from the bottom up. Because it falls apart a bit more readily than I'd like, it can be a bit frustrating to build, especially for a young child. However, there are no problems with sending the marbles down or racing them to see whose reaches the bottom first! Tons of fun!
Great!

What a wonderful marble run!!! I hesitated buying a marble run bc I've played with one years ago at a friend's home. Her marble run (not this brand) was flimsy and the pieces didn't stay together very well. But I took a chance bc we saw this in the MindWare catalog and both my 8yo son and 3yo daughter thought it was too cool.

We are glad for the purchase. the pieces are durable-feeling, they stay together snugly, but can also be taken a part by 3yo, so not too snug. Lots of variety in pieces and my only regret now is that we didn't have this set years ago! Adults and kids played with this for hours Christmas day.

I just bought a second set of the 123 piece Marble Run and also purchased the Add-On set. We have four grandchildren (ages 5, 6, 9 and 12) and they all love this. A second set was a must for multiple children. The second set came yesterday and I combined them into one big container. Then, I sat down on the floor to enjoy it all by myself! Some have written that it falls over. Yes, it will. However, it is billed as "engineering fun". If you engineer it correctly and make sure all connections are snug, it will be stable. This is well worth the money. In fact, it is not much to spend considering the play value in this set. I happen to be fortunate enough to have a big bag of my dad's marbles when he was a child and we use them with this. I recommend getting more marbles. It makes the set more fun! The sound of all those marbles rushing down the run is great. The Add-on set was worth the cost.

No instruction come with it. It is all up to the child to create and that is a plus in my book!
