WOW!

Wow. Have uses this in a small handful of gigs and many more full-volume rehearsals and this thing puts out TONS of power, even with the volume turned pretty low. It powers my 4x10 and 1x15 ampeg classic series cabinets, and it's fun to hear the windows of my house rattle while just touching my bass string with the volume knob at 2 (out of 10). I LOVE the versatility of this. With the Tube pre-amp, compression and eq set right it does a very good job of mimicking the warm buttery classic ampeg sound, while on the other hand also being very capable of putting out a very crunchy and aggressive sound. Perfect for a bipolar musician like myself who one day loves to play super mellow molasses blues, and the next, heavy metal. In one rehearsal room we played in recently they provided an ampeg svt tube amp that sounded AMAZING and I loved it. I had some buyers remorse for a bit because it just naturally sounded so amazing. But then I went home and found the sweet spot adjustments on this little guy and found that I could make a sound that was just as good (in my lowly amateur musician opinion), for 1/4 the cost of the svt.
Hartke doesn’t disappoint!

Great product! Love Hartke! Plenty of punch, eq. Lights up easy to see. I've used this for med size venues indoors and also outdoor shows and never an issue with volume..
I AM IMPRESSED!!!

I have been a devote Ampeg SVT with 810 cabinet user, but at over 60 years old, they have become more & more of a pain in the ..... to deal with. I will not replace them as a larger venue dictates they get used. However, I was looking for a lighter, easier to handle solution.

I HAVE FOUND IT! I have paired this amp up with the Seismic Audio 2/10 & 1/15 cabinets and I not only have a decent practice rig, but this combination works with any small to medium sized venue.

I choose this amp not only because of its power (rated at 350 watts into 4 ohms, but I haven't come close to testing that!), but I love the twin Pre-Amps that blend tube with solid state. Not a SVT, but the tube does a good job. Built in compressor works well too although I wish it came with footswitch. Find myself using slight compression with any additional being used with stomp box.

Has 10 band EQ with good tone range and 15 dB of boost to each band. It also has low pass & high pass contour controls which took some effort to "dial" in. The low pass provides 18 dB as 100 Hz and the high pass 18 dB at 10kHz. If you set EQ flat to start, then experiment with contours, then fine adjust EQ it might be easier.

I do wish the amp had a side mounted carry handle, but it does come with rack mounting hardware if you wish.

Great little amp that I highly recommend.

As a first brand new amp head for myself this one is aces. The built in compression- pre amp and EQ is also great, those are three pedals you DONT have to get. And it's sturdy as a tank solid construction. Heavy as life's burdens as well. I would love to find a bag for it
Great for a "mini stack"

A solid 250watts @8ohms. I have it teamed with two Hartke 12" HyDrive cabinets and it sounds great. Separate passive and active input jacks. High Pass (treble) and Low Pass (bass) controls. There are no controls for mid-range but the GEQ has such a wide sweep of tone that it more then makes up for that. The variable compressor works VERY well, smoothing out the low end without sacrificing mid-range. There doesn't seem to be a big difference between the two preamps, when used individually but, together, they blend very well. There is an effects loop, send and return, but no tuner out. No foot switch jack for the GEQ but it sounds best when the GEQ is left on. Direct out (post, pre, and, ground lift). Just right for small/medium venues and/or great for a solid "drive" behind a "horn band".
