I must confess that I like this trimmer a lot more than I thought I would. I keep it in my purse when I'm journaling because every now and then I have to tear one page out to share with someone or simply to use as a throwaway note.

Pro: I love this thing! Works great. I've had it a few weeks and used it on tons of stuff. I don't know why people are saying it doesn't cut, it cuts just fine for me. Thick plastic, thin plastic, doesn't matter. However, I believe it said it won't cut you. It probably would cut your finger if you pushed hard enough, but you'd have to try quite a bit, and I'd hope most people wouldn't do that. Haha! As far as accidentally grazing it or grabbing it the wrong way, it won't do any damage to you.
Con: The built in magnet isn't super strong. It stays on the fridge but you've gotta make sure it's flush before you let go, otherwise it'll fall.

This is so amazing, and better than the red one that I got from another vendor; better than look-alikes. The cutting edge is tiny, the body is magnetic, so you can put this on the side of your refrigerator. It's very hand and easy to keep in your pocket. there is a hole in case you want to put it on your key ring, very useful! Not identical to islice, but actually seems to be more comfortable to use, better tactile plastic grip, harder blade.

We purchased this so my 5 year old son could open the countless Amazon Prime packages we receive every week, which he loves doing. We had developed a bad habit of using one blade from a pair of scissors to open packages, and not allowing the kid to be nearby while doing so. It was only a matter of time before we hurt ourselves. The key is to keep the flat edge grounded to the box you're cutting. Time after time the cutter provides a clean cut on Amazon's fiber tape. And, it works nicely on plastic bubble packaging. Needless to say this has replaced our scissors and become the "go to" opener for the household.
I can't recommend them enough.

These things are great for opening just about anything. I just recently purchased two more (I previously purchased two others). I mainly use them for opening up packages and breaking down boxes. I also use them for opening mail, DVD's and even hard to open plastic toys. With thick plastic package you have to push a little harder but it will open it for you. The magnet is great so that you may stick to your refrigerator for easy storage. The one problem that I have (which is no fault of the company's) is that I lay them down somewhere and can't find them again which is why I'm purchasing a couple more. I can't recommend them enough, especially if you have toddlers running around, you no longer have to worry about them cutting themselves if they accidentally get their hands on them.
