Works great! Easily installed on my Electra cruiser, although I did also have to purchase a $10 seatpost clamp with rack mounts from Electra for it to fit, since mine didn't come with one. I think most new Electras are now sold with that piece installed. But the rack works well and carries my 8'2 board with ease. I have a pannier mounted on the other side that carries my bike lock, towel, and a change of clothes. Perfect beach setup. No complaints.

This thing is great!!!! I have attached my 9'4 longboard and rode it al over time! Works great....It seems like its flimsy when you hit bumps in the road or something like that...but your board will stay on there just fine! Love it!

We got two of these: one for a full size beach cruiser, the other on a 24" kid's cruiser. Both work great carrying boards from 6' to 8'. It's a little nerve-racking riding with an 8' long board attached to your bike through Newport Beach, but it sure beats dealing with traffic and finding parking. If you're a mile or two from your surf spot, this is highly recommended.

The instructions are less than helpful. The reviewer who said the directions should say this does not fit most bikes, wing it, was correct. This is coming from one that does not typically have issues following directions. The existing slots on my bike do not fit the rack. I had previously had a Carver frame that attached to the frame at the bike seat. That rack was flawless and terrific. I purchased this one because my old bike was stolen along with the frame. I thought based on the reviews this would be just as good or better, but I was mistaken. I will now probably buy the other Carver frame.

The clamps bend under the weight of a longboard and can eventually open, meaning you may need to carry your board. The clamps also scratched my bike where attached. Admittedly, I would have given one star given the hassle of fitting this frame to my bike and the fact that the rack fell apart on a couple of occasions, but I was really satisfied with my first Carver rack and all other reviewers seem happy with the rack, so perhaps my experience is an anomaly.

I have to say that this item didn't fit perfectly my bicycle. I have a beach cruiser and I had to adjust the rack to make it fit. I spent a couple of hours working on it but finally I did it. Now it works fine and it is really stable.
The main part of the rack it was ok. I had to fix the front mount to the seat, cause there was no way to fix it in the way it was built for (the spot where the bike should be connected to that mount is too wide so I made a change in the rack turning that mount insideout with a rotation of 180º around his axis). The only bad note is that now I can't move the seat, but it is not so bad as I'm the only one who ride that bike.
Price and item's qyality are good.
I don't know why they don't ship it in europe. I had to ask my sister to bring me that from usa.
