I was using the solar section directly on top of the sign instead of through the extension line. Water has gotten under the plastic that protects the solar cells and it was warped the plastic. Unfortunately it does not light up anymore, but it's still nice as a sign at the bottom of my steps

The solar light only worked for a couple months maybe 2. After that no more light. So if you just want the numbers it is good. If you want the light it will not last.

Folks don't expect much in the way of customer service these days, but I have to say that Goldtech turned out to be the exception to that rule. After sending them a message about getting a longer power connector, the Goldtech customer service got back to me almost immediately and made arrangements to ship that item out to me. I got it a few days later (at no cost to me!) and am now happy as a clam with this product. I'm quite pleased not only with their help, but with the actual product. The quality of the letters was much better than I expected for such a low price. I could wish for brighter LEDs, but I understand that illuminated house numbers aren't meant to be a blazing spotlight in the dark. On the whole, super pleased with this product and with Goldtech.
