I was reluctant to purchase this item after reading some of the reviews that said the item arrived damaged or fell apart after short time. However, I was pleasantly surprised when this item arrived today and in perfect condition. When expanded, it fits perfectly in my cutlery drawer, which was previously a big mess. Now this tray holds everything and in a nice orderly way. It is so much better than the old plastic one that I was using. My old one was smaller so I had to have 2 trays in there. I also had a lot of things in the back of the drawer that I was not using. Aftre disposing of the unused items, everything is now in order. Also this tray is very attractive. So far, I am very happy with this purchase and everything is now in easy reach! Thanks Amazon

**This review is for the 5 compartments: (I gave it five stars) I wish I had this organizer years ago! I posted some photos of the tray closed and extended. It works great in any drawer, as it expands width-wise. Now I have no wasted space in my drawer anymore. I'm very happy! Recommended.

**This review is for the 8 compartments: (3 stars): After having so much luck with the 5 compartment organizer, I bought the 8 compartment organizer. However, I took it out of the box and it immediately fell apart. Whatever glue the company used to glue this thing together came apart. Fortunately, my husband used some epoxy and glued/clamped it back together. Then it was fine - looked nice and worked great. But it was disappointing that the thing fell apart in my hands after coming out of the box. It also does not seem like the bottom of the organizer is made from bamboo. Sure the sides and vertical pieces are bamboo, but the backing seems like a laminated mdf/particleboard.

I purchased this product in 2014 and really liked it. I wanted a new one because I broke mine so I ordered it again in 2016 and was very disappointed. They have changed their product, and not for the better. The bottom is now made of a very thin wood composite with fake wood grain design papered on top, and the expandable sides fall off easily. Such a shame, especially since this is not reflected in the price. There are a bunch of good reviews posted from 6 years ago and I agree with them for the product I received on my first purchase. Unfortunately they no longer hold true. I gave it 2 stars though, because if you want a cheap/flimsy organizer this will work.

Received it on Aug 16 and less than 2 months later it is coming apart. See pics.

This tray is only about a month old and it is completely coming apart. The dividers have come loose and there are sharp metal pieces sticking out. We cannot get the dividers back together. I am so disappointed in this product and will be asking for a refund. See the attached picture.
