Great for cleaning dryer lint traps.
goldngemgirl✓ Verified PurchaseMay 11, 2018
These work great! What do I use them for? I clip in a micro-fiber dusting rag and, after I take out and clean my clothes dryer's in-door lint trap, I insert this forceps into the lint-trap hole and swish it around a little bit. Why do I do this? Years ago, after purchasing a new dryer where the lint trap was inside the door, we had a problem with the dryer and had a repairman take a look. When he removed the dryer's panels, we noticed how much lint had gotten trapped below the drum. NOT GOOD. The repairman said that was an inherent flaw in that style of dryer. So, after that point, we took apart our dryer every 6 months to clean it out. Earlier this year, the dryer got so hot it tripped the breaker and we soon noticed a burnt smell. The dryer nearly caught fire. So, we replaced the dryer. Even though the new dryer has the same location for the lint trap, the trap itself is a bit different in that it has a 'cup' design. However, this 'cup' design also provides a larger opening thus allowing me to insert this forceps with a thick rag. I'm shocked at how much lint I can still pull out. I do this every time I dry clothes. It takes less than 10 seconds.
Avoid.

These are the worst instruments I've ever seen or used to own. Actually threw them away.
Poorly made, extremely poor construction/assembly. I bought two, and they were inconsistent from each other. Jaws fully closed on one, the other had a slight, persistent gap. Complete waste of money. Avoid.
Average quality forceps. Low-torque use only.

These are good for picking up small items or for holding them in place manually. When the jaws are fully closed, they lock into place. They are a nice long length and very useful. I use them to hold wires in place, pick up screws that fell into hard to reach places, and hold onto items without having to maintain my grip.

These are not made very strong especially in the locking teeth. While they will work fine with small low-torque situations, they are not professional grade material. For most people they will be fine. Buy they are not replacements for medical grade forceps.
Works, but just barely.

The pros:
1. No visible rust yet
2. It does lock closed
3. Relatively low price

The cons:
1. Horrible tolerances. The jaws are both concave, so even in a fully closed position, the jaws only contact each other near the tip. The teeth are completely misaligned and do not mesh at all.

Summary: If you need a high quality tool with good tolerances, avoid this one. If you just need a general purpose tool to clamp nonessential things, this will work.

I bought mine for emergency blood-feather removal of injured birds. It will work fine for that purpose. I would not, however, want to use this to clamp an artery.
Non-functional

No quality control. Based on the reviews it's hit or miss on what you get. I ordered two of the 6¼" straight forceps and they are terrible. Poor casting, the jaws don't line up, and the action is stiff. I've purchased many Pakistani manufactured stainless steel products over the years and these are the worst. I requested a return for refund as soon as I opened the package.
