and I was burnt horribly. I contacted the manufacturer when I returned home ...
B.L. Boitson•June 25, 2016
I ordered this from River Colony Trading company and it must have been expired. I used it in March in Florida, first sun of the season on my pale skin, and I was burnt horribly. I contacted the manufacturer when I returned home and they agreed to send me some freshly produced sunscreen to replace the what I had purchased from River Colony Trading company.
I have used it regularly since they sent me the new bottles but find it doesn't last very long and the SPF 30 is simply not enough coverage for myself. I love that it's one of the safest sunscreens on the market, but if it doesn't work long or well enough it's not worthwhile. It also leaves my skin feeling very greasy. This may work if you don't require much sun coverage.

Oily consistency and causes breakouts
gretchenette•July 1, 2015
This was okay in terms of natural sunscreen. On one hand, I like that it incorporates the use of oils known for their innate sfp, but then after using it, I don't really like it. The consistency was a little oily--no big deal, I expected that, but then after wearing it all day long on my face, I had a breakout (of acne). Not to date myself, but I haven't been a teenager for almost 20 years, but I sure felt like one after wearing this all day, and not in a good way! I wasn't compelled to use it again because of the consistency, but mostly because I didn't like breaking out. Now then again, if you have some and really want to use it, you COULD add a droplet (NO MORE) of Oregano Oil to prevent breakouts (it kills bacteria that causes breakouts, but WOW it is very very very strong so for God's sake, please be careful!). So just putting that out there if you want to try it for creams that you like but cause breakouts. Also, be careful--you might smell like an Italian restaurant and suddenly feel compelled to eat lots of pasta and watch the Godfather and say "fogettabout it". You might even add an extra consonant to the end of your name too. :-)
Seriously though, this sunblock is okay for natural stuff, but there are much better ones out there. Personally I like Badger. It's about the same price, just as natural, and stays put pretty well--although it has a lot of zinc oxide and leaves a whitish residue (more so that Climb On!). Teva skincare has an EXCELLENT natural Aryuvedic sunblock that costs double what this one does but is TOTALLY worth it although it is not rated on the EWG's website for natural sunblocks (not widely distributed enough I guess?).

I love this sunblock. It moisturizes my skin while protecting it. I apply the sunscreen on in the car as I head to work and it lasts all day. It's not greasy either.
Excellent Love it!

Goes on nice and easy. It is not sticky at all, more like lotion. won't leave you looking glow in the dark. Nice light mineral like film on skin.
