Only tested this briefly, but it works very well with my Q-See system. I plugged it in, made some changes required in the settings, and it worked perfectly. To test it, I put it in a thick drinking straw and aimed it out the front window of my house. It was so sensitive that when I was telling my cat to shoosh because she would wake my wife, I could hear my own voice coming back to me with a slight delay. At the time I was two rooms away (approximately 45') around a Z corner, and the mic was pointed the other way. There's really little more I could ask for. I'll update the review if anything changes once I get it permanently installed, but the test run was certainly excellent.

This thing is great.This is the quietest pre amp mic that I've ever had,and I've had several.No buzz that most pre amp mics put out and very sensitive.The pigtail is the perfect length, diameter is small enough to fit inside a drinking straw.BUY WITH CONFIDENCE.Dont let the few bad reviews scare you,those few people wouldn't have been happy no matter what.

I having install this but it look well made. Well package and everything its include my local store want it $12.00 just for the mic. Will repost with the results.
The results are very good. Use it on a NVR. if you have TV near the mic mute the tv it will interface with the sound and it will sound poor, other then that very good.

Wow....these Mics are terrific. I bought one for my Night Owl system and couldn't get it to work...wasn't the mic, it was the system. I bought a night owl mic and than the factory would tell me the "secret" to getting the mic to work with their clunky software. However, the night owl mic sucks, so I sent it back and bought two more of these. The difference is startling. The range, sensitivity and volume on this little innocent simple looking guy is fantastic, as is the quality of the tone. I'll probably pick up two more to max out my audio channels.

Great deal...the cord is also high quality and works with my cameras.

Broke on arrival. Unit was shipped in a little padded envelope that didn't have enough padding. Shake the wires get low volume, shake again get loud feedback loop with terrible (like 4X) echo. Finally giving up and sending it back. What a POS.
