I'll be honest, I didn't purchase this rope for any official rope purposes. I purchased it so that I could cut it into smaller pieces and stuff them in the ends of pool noodles in an attempt to create quidditch brooms for my daughter's Harry Potter themed birthday party. And for this purpose, it worked swimmingly. The rope was pretty difficult to cut with my regular scissors, so I imagine it's quite sturdy as far as ropes go, but I can't say we really put it to the test. For reference, one length of rope plus 5 pool noodles cut in half was enough supply for 10 quidditch brooms. My only hope is that one day my daughter recognizes the stupid amount of effort I put into things like this (I'm not even a Harry Potter fan) and respects me for my efforts rather than resents me for the amount of time I spend coming up with and executing these kind of lame ideas.

I thought it would be a little lighter like burlap like in the photo but I guess it was just the light reflecting but other than the color it's nice hopefully it stays strong for our swing chairs.
