This is a well built spreader. However, the nuts and bolts assembly package was not accurate. Bolts were missing, no washers were included, and the nylock nuts were the wrong size. Lowes had the hardware that I needed. Assembly requires a basic aptitude that might be suited to someone who is comfortable using an impact driver or grinder. The cotter pin that goes through the wheel hub and axle, was not centered; I sharpened the cotter pin on a grinder to work it through. I am giving four stars for quality but two stars for NOT using a wheel/axle key to turn the agitating gear, and axle nuts to fasten the wheels.

This thing is junk. Very disappointing that it came with many unfinished sharp edges. Holes were not completed and required an auger first before inserting bolts. Two plus hours to assemble. Axle/wheel connection is poor and will likely break in a month. Doesn't spread salt for ice we'll at all. Save your money and go buy a better pre-assembled one at Home Depot. This is poor quality cheap Chinese fabrication. Also, cover that's suggested doesn't fit and ripped in half.

Great spreader- terrible handle. That is, you have to drive forward, twist 180 degree's to your left to open and close the spreader for correct operation while driving to speed. I consider this somewhat dangerous. A serious improvement would be a parallel bar handle that attaches and slides forward about 4 or 5 feet, that has a large "U" shaped holder which is held in place by a strong magnet to the left rear fender.
Other than this minor, irritating problems it's just an awesome spreader. I look forward to purchasing other Agri-Fab products in the future.

Finally put this thing together after making a trip to the hardware store to get bolts and nuts (Didn't have them all in package). Ran it one time and it's very nice to have this for my two acre yard. Can't control lever from my zero turn mower. Have to get off and on mower to turn lever on and off. So don't do that in grass as it will spill to much burning your grass. Sometimes the spinner would not spin and the fertilizer just dumped out but then the spinner would kick on. Again I really like this unit. I will have to be sure to keep nuts and bolts tight and keep the unit cleaned and stored nicely if you want the spreader to last more than a few years.

Not only did a part break trying to put this together we had to wait 5 days to get the part from Agri-Fab. Very frustrating trying to assemble! Got it working then pin disconnected in bin so it stopped spreading...had to empty bin...finding pin...re-assemble...then complete spreading.
