Pogies for drop bars! Hooray!
Emily Weiser✓ Verified Purchase•March 24, 2017
Pogies are awesome. I've used them for years on my flat-bar commuter bike, and wanted the option to ride my road bike this winter without losing fingers. Was stoked to find these made for drop bars. They fit really well on my bike (internal cables) and are even warmer than my other set (different brand and material). Easy to put on and take off, and as aerodynamic as they can be. Seem to be well made and I expect they will last years, or perhaps my lifetime. Definitely get a larger size than you might think - I have moderately large hands for a woman (similar to the average man) and the large is definitely not too big. If you have massive hands, consider that you might need to return them if they are too small for you. Worth a try because if they fit you, you will never have cold hands again!
Awesome riding season extender!

These work great! I was able to extend my road bike riding season into December in MN with rides down into the teens Fahrenheit. For me hands and feet are the weak spots and I found warm boots but couldn't find warm enough gloves. These did the trick! I did switch to my fat bike once we had lasting snow, but did get a half-dozen or so longer rides (1-2 hours) in to confirm function in different temperatures and conditions. I did find that I had to wear slightly warmer gloves in these than in the flat bar Bar Mitts I have on my fat bike. I suspect this is due solely to riding speed (effective wind) though.

these work pretty well, I ride in the mornings in the dark a few times a week, down into the low 30's and upper twenties. I've never had gloves that could keep my hands warm for those rides. I've used these 3 times now and the hands are comfy. I use a pair of light wool gloves with the rubber dots on them and I have plenty of room inside the large bar mitts and no troubles operating the shifter or brakes. I haven't been in a strong wind so can't comment on how that would affect them. worth the money to me.
I would buy them, oh wait, I did

keepin' my paws warm ya snout monkey! I do what the kids call road biking in New York and right now it is as cold as a hamster in a monkey factory. Sure, I have gloves, 4 pairs including a pair of lobster gloves. My hands were always cold. NOT ANYMORE FELLA. Now my hands sweat like a turtle in a jelly bean bag.
Cold Hands While Cycling----Buy these!

Best fall/winter road bike purchase ever. These things are so simple to install (just pull the up the handle bars, secure the bottom with the velcro strap, then at the top close the velcro to hold the bottom opening tighter. These are so great at keeping my hands warm, I should have bought them sooner. Above 45 degrees with normal finger less cycle gloves my hands get hot. I just take them out and hold the handle bars on the inside of the gloves, yeah you can't break or shift when doing this so I wait for a flat part in the road. Don't even bother with smaller sizes just get the large. When it gets too warm, I just roll them down over the drops and the inside is bright red which makes me even more visible even though it looks silly. You can easily remove in 2 minutes but rolling them over is easier for me.
