Nice gift at a great price

For the lack of better judgment o my side I order this product even though the review has been marginal at the most. Got my order 2 days ago. Open the package right away. Got the battery on the controller and the forklift. Turn the power on and started playing with it. The first time I lift the fork it went well however when I put it down and try to lift the pallet and box carton that came with the package I notice that it only goes half way. After several attempt to put the fork at its max height the lift came down. I found out that the plastic on the lift has been broken and it was so brittle that it broke on several place. I can't believe that AMAZON WOULD SELL A CRAPPY PRODUCT LIKE THIS. AMAZON SHOULD BAN THIS COMPANY'S PRODUCT FROM BEING SOLD FROM THEM. Don't buy this product you will be sorry as for me and my son well just have to find a different toy since it was supposed to be a gift for him. Good thing I tried it first before wrapping it for his birthday.
Didn't work . . . returned.

Couldn't get any part of it to work. Tried three different sets of brand new batteries . . . no manual or troubleshooting tips . . . or an 800 number to call with questions so it was returned and did not re-order this item as the 8 year old that this was for didn't want to chance that the next one wouldn't work either.
The turning radius is very poor and its extremely slow

If your looking for a cheap scale forklift to work with your 1/14th scale Tamiya Semi, this one will work. The turning radius is very poor and its extremely slow. The indicator for the 9v in the controller was backwards and i can't get it to work with rechargeable batteries. Aside from that, its a very scale looking forklift. The outer shell, cage and lift mechanism look exactly like a real forklift. With some minor conversion this basic RC will provide what your looking for.

This was a Christmas gift for my son. He was so happy to get it. It was all he wanted for Christmas played with it for ten minutes and it broke. Poor kid was in tears all day over it. My husband was able to get it back together somewhat but you can't use the remote control you have to raise and lower it by hand very upset with the poor quality.
