My mantel was located too close to my woodburning fireplace insert and would get too hot to touch. The 5050 MANTEL PROTECTOR was easy to install, looked good with the insert, and keeps the mantel cool to the touch. Very pleased with the purchase and result.

Easy to install and works like a charm! The mantel used to get burning hot and now it stays nice and cool. We can finally put items back on the mantel without worrying about them melting!!
