Would not buy again, after a couple of months ...

Would not buy again, after a couple of months, it does not refill properly. It doesn't hold air long enough during the night. Not particularly well made.

Gave only 4 stars because we have not had it long enough to know how it will affect my husband's nascent pressure sores. I wanted to add to reviews that it is super-easy to set up. I am awful at anything requiring mechanical talents but am having to learn how to do these sorts of things. I feared setting this up, but instructions were clear and easy to follow and set up was very easy too. I didn't use the quick fill valve, so it took a bit of time to totally inflate, but my husband finds it more comfortable than the foam mattress that came with the hospital bed we use. He also has less tendency to slide downwards on it. Keeping fingers crossed that his pressure sores improve as we use this.

Had to return it. Similar mattresses reach a set pressure and then presumably release extra pressure through some overflow valve, so the pump runs steadily and just becomes background white noise that's easy to ignore. This does it by turning the pump motor on and off at 4-10 minute intervals all night. Not real loud, but comparable to the leaky toilet valve refilling in the guest bath. You know, the one that you are ready to rip out of the floor by 4 a.m. and throw out of the window because you can't not stay awake listening for it to kick back on? Yeah, that one. Thank God Amazon accepted the return.

Got it for my dear brother who is bed bound. I'm glad I took the chance and got this mattress. I tried it myself, it's super comfortable. He doesn't slide down anymore. Easier to bathe him in it too. Easier for the home health aid overall. I'm happy my brother is at least a bit more comfy, besides his horrible disease . He agrees with it too. I just got it a few weeks ago. I hope it last a long time.

Still using this after 2 years and not one problem with it. Bed bound patient has not had one bed sore. Highly recommend this product!
