This use to be a great product,, , , ,not sure what happened with this company but I ordered a new Heater after having the old one for about 4 years. The new one was defected and wouldn't light. Had it replaced and the next one they send worked for about 2 months before it was useless. It never did seem to light properly. . .we had to hand light it from day one.

Just what I needed, works great.

Where a few dents but works fine. over all happy with it.

Works as expected

Purchased this to heat up my bedroom that measures 14' x 20'. This little guy is a beast. Heated up my room in less than 20 mins. Its 42 degrees outside and i can finally relax. I did not take a temperature reading for the before and after. Only with what felt comfortable to me. On a added note i live in the mountains so besides my fireplaces i have no other source of heat. Unlike the bigger kerosene heaters this one will not overpower the room with extreme temperatures. I love that the tank comes out so i wont make a mess trying to fill it up. I read some other comments about the wick being installed incorrectly. In my case i unpacked all the shipping foam. Filled it up, waited for the wick to get saturated and started to enjoy this heat. As far as the smell of kerosene burning it doesn't bother me so i cant really give any negative comments. I grew up smelling it so it brings me back to a cold winter living with my family at home. I don't think the smell is overpowering. As long as the wick is installed correctly you shouldn't get an overpowering smell or any smoke. To speak on hot spots of this unit while its burning i was surprised to find only the metal panels near the heating element and the front grill would heat up during the burn.The top, left/right side, back and the control knobs are all cool to the touch.
