Great for short term soft pretzels

Purchased this for baseball park concession stand and was really hoping that it would help provide soft pretzels for fans instead of having to cook them as needed. Have tried pre-warming pretzels and refrigerated pretzels and haven't found a good solution to obtaining perfect pretzels. If you pre-warm pretzels they stay soft for maybe 30 minutes, but then start to get hard. If you place in refrigerated pretzels, it seems the pretzels never get warm enough to serve. Thought maybe adding a cup of water to add humidity to the case would help keep pretzels soft, but that hasn't done much. If there is a best practice of maintaining the best pretzels using this warmer, I would love to know.
