I'm a size 18/20 and the 3x fit me like a glove. The corset in the front is adjustable, to provide a little more wiggle room if you need/want it. The "apron" bit ties around back. You will need to get the wrinkles out of this (I did 10-15 minutes, low heat, on GENTLE setting in the dryer. DO NOT IRON THIS. A LOT OF HEAT WILL RUIN IT!!)

One thing that no one seemed to mention in reviews I've read - the brown straps that go up on either side of your breasts, tie behind your neck. I really, REALLY did not like that. It made it very uncomfortable, and made it look very tacky (especially when wearing your hair in pigtails, or braids). What I wound up doing was pulling the straps up, and just tucking them inside the cleavage area of the dress. It looked very nice, and I didn't have the tackiness of the big bow on the back of my neck (or the discomfort!)

The top isn't very sheer, but I would recommend a white or nude colored bra, because darker colors will show through. My nude, strapless bra worked perfectly. If you're a bigger chested girl, like me, prepare to have your girls shown off! I also wore a petticoat underneath, and some knee-high stockings. I'm 5'10" and this skirt practically went to my knees (which is both good and bad, depending on how you look at it!)

This costume overall gets 9/10 stars from me. I was the only person with a costume even similar to this one - and got compliments all night!

I'm usually a medium (6-8), so I ordered a size up like they suggested. It wouldn't zip up over my hips, but it was comfortable over the chest area. I returned it and ordered the x-large. It zipped easily, but it was a little roomy in the bust and I'm not flat-chested. Like several other reviewers, I agree that the cut is looser on top than through the torso. Luckily, I had planned well enough in advance that the second dress arrived two days before the event that I needed it for - love Amazon Prime! Once I was in it, I was surprised by how comfortable it was compared to how costumes usually feel. There was a fair amount of stretch to the material. Five-hour party wearing the dress? No problem!

The costume was quite flattering, and the tights that come with it are really cute. I wore them below the knee. They did sag down around the ankles some wearing it this way because I have short legs, but I liked the look. Maybe next time, I'll try wearing them above the knee to help them stretch a little and avoid the sag. Speaking of which, does anyone have any suggestions for cleaning the tights besides hand-washing them? Did throwing them in the washing machine damage them at all?

Overall, I would recommend this costume to any of my friends. P.S. I also bought the Leg Avenue petticoat in white to go underneath it. It really completed the look and I would strongly recommend adding it as an accessory to the outfit. I can also imagine that it'd look super cute with a pink petticoat, too.

First of all I'll start with my general comments about the costume. It's cute and it's reasonably good quality for the price. It's also nice that the bodice is adjustable, so that is definitely better quality over the shapeless cheap costumes that are often out there. One thing I'd also like to note is that the shoulder straps are loose-ended strips, meaning you have to tie them around your neck like a halter top. This isn't as nice as if they connected to the back of the dress, but it probably also helps make the outfit more adjustable.

The main reason I'm writing this review is for sizing advice to other small-sized persons who may want to purchase it. I am 5'4" and 105 lbs (164cm, 48kg) and I normally wear a size XS or 0. A lot of reviewers recommended sizing up because this costume runs small; that is probably true and good advice for those other sizes. I followed this advice and sized up to a small instead of extra small, but the costume is too big! I cinched the bodice tight with the ribbon, and it was able to fit my waist, but then it caused the fabric in the front panel to scrunch up and make unflattering folds in the front of the apron and skirt.

I just got this costume and I need it for a theme party that is this weekend so there is no time to return it and order a new one. It's not so bad that it's unwearable, but the size is also not ideal.

One last note (unrelated to sizing): I wear a tutu under the skirt to make it poof out and it looks better than without that extra volume. I recommend buying or making a tutu or petticoat to go along with this.

1. Sizing: based on reading their product description, I would have leaned towards the extra small. However, based on all the reviews, I bought a small. The skirt is perfect length with the small. It's supposed to be short. However the extra small would have fit me better around my bust/waist. It feels looser than it should around my waist and the top just feels really big and baggy for my bust. I would've been fine going with an extra small and dealing with the shortness (just wear spanks underneath). For reference, I am 5 ft 5, 32A bust, 26 inch waist and 110-115 pounds (depends on the day). I think the people who say size up probably have bigger busts than me and/maybe the shortness of the dress. If I was even a B, it might help a little but it makes me feel like my boobs look even smaller. Only reason this is getting 4 stars is because I am not completely in love with the fit of the outfit. Overall, definitely worth it for the price and would buy it again. My boyfriend went to Octoberfest so he owns an expensive, fancy costume. He wanted me to buy one to match him for Halloween so that he gets the most use out of his outfit lol.
2. A girl posted she bought this exact petticoat a few reviews before me (pretty blonde with bf .. she posted pics). I took pics with both the petticoat and without so you guys could get an idea of length. It makes the outfit a little longer which I know some people may prefer. The poofiness is cute. The petticoat is one size fits all which I was not completely in love with. I rolled up the petticoat once because it was a little long on me.

I might try to do some DIY outfit adjustments to try and make the waist and bust smaller? Might be too much work.
