Good drip system regulator
Don Mohle•September 20, 2017
Works well for my drip systems. I have 3 sites (15 valves overall), each of which use a single regulator upstream of the valves, and these work beautifully. The adjustability lets me tailor the pressure to the usage. Regulates better at 25 PSI or so than the brass RV regulators that include a nearly useless 160 PSI gauge. And they are cheaper!

using the valve for a new drip system. No problem fitting the PVC fittings into the valve and did blow the emmiters apart when I charged the lines.

Not intended for drinking water

If you read their web page or the Amazon page it mentions ok where code allows iron body valves. But, on the bottom of the box, in small print it says "This produce is not intended to convey or dispense water for human consumption through drinking or cooking." Kind of a long way to say it's not for drinking water, which is different from their web page and listing.
How much you worry about cast iron in your water system is up to you (and your building inspector). Be sure to use dielectric junctions to any copper pipe.
Excellent for drip systems and other irrigation use.
Other than that, it works well.

I couldnt believe when I saw the price for this water pressure regulator. they usually range from 60 to 150 dollars at lowes or home depot. installed my regulator same day and works jus fine. no more high water pressure in my house.
