These speakers sound fantastic!
Andrea M. Chesak✓ Verified Purchase•May 14, 2017
Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of the SQ found in Pioneer and Alpine car audio components. I'm always somewhat skeptical of a brand name I've never listened to or heard of, but I thought I'd take a chance on these, given the high reviews I've read here. I believe this was a gamble well taken. These speakers sound absolutely excellent!!
A few notes about the installation:
1) These will be permanently installed on the 'back porch' of our tiny house camper Vardo (or Gypsy wagon). Time will only tell how well they can withstand climate changes. We live in southern Indiana where we experience any and all weather!
2) They are installed in a curved roof (as pictured). This made installation slightly challenging, but all I had to do was add some extra layers of rubber butyl tape strips to form a good seal on the curved surface. The provided cut-out template worked fine. This was a new install on a new camper build, so the speaker holes were cut before the bead board was installed.
3) The speaker grills and frame mounts were painted brown with exterior spray paint.
4) My box depth was 3.5" (2x4 depth)- they fit just fine.
5) The 3" holes in the picture had vented caps installed later. Our roof is insulated and these are the roof vents.
These speakers are powered by a Grace Digital GDI-BTAR513 100w amp. It's small footprint, Bluetooth connectivity and auto-shutoff were desirable for camping. I was slightly concerned about it's 37w RMS per 2 channel output at 8 ohms, but it's way more than what we would ever need, esp. while we're camping!
Overall very satisfied with this purchase! For the money, you really can't go wrong.

Great price, good sound, worth installing surround sound.

Pulling wires in the attic and cutting sheet rock holes was no fun but it paid off hugely. I bought these affordable round speakers as rear surround sounds and mounted them in the ceiling. I used 1 gauge wire from the home improvement store and ran it through the attic and out to the surround receiver. It all worked perfectly and I'm glad I made the investment in a Saturday. Sound is way better than any sound bar and it has clean, flush, classy lines. Frame is paintable.
Best in wall speakers for the price.

Incredible clarity and balanced sound at a affordable price. I just put together a 5.1 setup for a small living room useing four Micca M-8S (main and surround) one Micca M-CS (center) and one Polk Audio PSW 10 (subwoofer). All together I spent around $350. The sound quality is fanamenal. I love that you can adjust the tweeter, allowing them to angle towards the listener. One could easily spend $1000 dollars on a set of speakers without yielding sound comparable to these. I could not be any happier.
terrific sound, obvious care taken to produce quality sound ...

I have written maybe 3 reviews in 10 years, but I had to write one for these. You know those JBL and other speakers you spent a bunch of money. Try these next time! I just removed a pair of JBL's (bought less than a year ago from Amazon) in a bathroom and replaced with the 6.5" version of these. The JBL's were a bit muddy. These: high quality, terrific sound, obvious care taken to produce quality sound without a fancy name. Won't go back to any of those "brand name" speakers again. You won't be disappointed. In fact, how many other products do you see with consistent 5-star ratings? Practically none. These deserve it!
A great option for rear in-ceiling surrounds

Crisp and clear and rounded out my open floor plan kitchen/living room theater experience. I would prefer some towers behind the couch, but this house layout just doesn't allow it. I'm impressed at how well the surround experience still works through these in ceiling speakers. I tested them alone without the rest of the system and they should like very good midrange speakers. I did not install them into boxes so I'm sure I lost some depth, but as basic rear surrounds, they work great!
