This is an extremly useful piece of gear and does exactly what I need it to do. I use this balaclava every time I ride my fourwheeler (ATV) around rural Alaska. So far, I've used it as my sole headcovering (plus goggles) while riding in 30degree weather plus windchill and have felt very warm. Now that I have a helmet, I wear it underneath my helmet and it isn't bulky, actually makes the helmet easier to put on and remove, and keeps my neck and chin warm where my helmet does not.

I'm happy with the quality, the microfleece is extremly warm and soft to the touch. I feel like it adequately covers my cheeks and nose. It creates a little issue with fogging of my glasses, but once I'm really moving I don't have a problem.

I feel like it fits pretty well. As a female, I have had problems wearing most girly hats because I have a larger head circumference. I purchased a large size and I think it is a little bit roomy on me, but it also enables me to still wear my hair in an updo if needed.

Not sure how it will hold up in rain or snow, but with a waterproof hood over it, will probably still be great.

Kept me warm while skiing on vacation! From the picture on the internet it looks like its made of a stiff fabric but its actually a very soft stretchy fabric, its thin enough to allow you to breath and hear pretty easily and looks awesome with a pair of large goggles. One of the best head pieces I've ever bought, if you get to hot just pull the top back and use it around your neck, Since using it for skiing I have also used it when fishing. You can really stay warm without getting overheated with this mask! It truly is a great product!

5 stars if they didn't make it to fit a basketball. I'm 6'4" and have quite a big head. It's just natural, lol. And, yet, this thing still has far too much slack in it. It's ok, though, it still works, I just have to pull it down tight towards my neck. It would be much better if it was a bit smaller. Oh well, it's not like I actually use it. I'd get shot for wearing this thing. I just wore it when it was very cold outside and I was on my own property.

Other than the fitting issue (even after washing/drying), it's got a great style. I love the style... it's just too big. Not too big that it's annoying, I'd just prefer it to be smaller. It's 4 stars too big... not 2 stars too big, get me? I can deal with it. I'd buy another if the price was right.

This worked perfectly for my intended purpose... which is to wear under a motorcycle helmet to keep my neck and face protected (and warm!) from cold, winter wind.

I have a good, solid riding coat and use a full face helmet but the wind was still getting to me and once you get down around 40 F, that wind just gets nasty. I had tried a scarf for a while but it just wasn't comfortable and took way too much finagling to get it "set just right" so it'd completely block the wind. Just a sliver of a gap is all it takes when you're fighting through cold air at 50+ mph.

This mask, with it's extended neck, works wonderfully without the bulkiness or awkwardness of the scarf. My helmet slips right over it, I can pull the face down if I want to, and it protects my neck right down to freezing temps which is when I just park my bike anyway. No hassle, I just put it on and I'm ready to go.

Jogging through windchills during winter season bare faced? It reminds me of that one time I had a little too much to drink...

So I decided to invest in a mask to keep my face warm while I jog. This was the mask that I found that had a good price range and good reviews.

I wouldn't recommend putting this mask on at night jogging in a security patrolled neighborhood...but almost any other scenarios would be fine to use this.

The mouth area does tend to get moist from condensation through breathing whether it be from your nose, your mouth or both.

Just be aware of this.

This mask keeps my ears WARM, my face WARM, and winter jogging tolerable.

These also wash great but make sure you dry them NOT using a dryer.

I couldn't be more happy with this purchase.

Update:

Do NOT use while wearing glasses. These will fog up on your quick and you are then jogging in the dark.
